Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra Wins Orchestra Of The Year Award

On 18th October 2019 I was hired by the “HK Philharmonic Orchestra” to photograph the “Gramophone Awards“. Now this is like the Oscars for the classical music world, it’s a big deal. The venue for our evening was “The Grand Connaught Rooms” situated on Great Queen Street in the heart of London’s West End. It’s a place to see with it’s chandelliers and high ceilings. A ‘Grade II’ listed building. The HK Philharmonic Orchestra flew into London for one night only to attend these prestigious awards. Surrounded by good company it was a very beautiful evening and the icing on the cake was the ‘Orchestra Of The Year‘ award. Yes, you guessed it, they won! The first asian orchestra to achieve this accolade. I had the pleasure of joining the Hong Kong Philharmonica Orchestra party at their table throughout the evening and it was a memorable occasion of music and celebration.
